Mr. Phillips leads music appreciation courses at the Royal Conservatory of Music and at the University of Toronto. He was associated with CBC Radio for 30
years. Although Polish-born, Chopin spent most of his short life in Paris. One of the greatest pianists in history, he composed virtually nothing except music for
his instrument, beautifully capturing the early Romantic poetic imagination and emotion.
