Leah Posluns Theatre presents the Likht Ensemble: Jaclyn Grossman and Nate Ben-Horin

This powerful recital features music written by Jewish artists during the Holocaust who were imprisoned in ghettos and concentration camps during WWII—repertoire uncovered through five years of dedicated research by soprano Jaclyn Grossman and pianist/composer Nate Ben-Horin. Many of these songs survived only as scraps of paper buried during the war, which Nate has painstakingly and beautifully arranged so they can be heard again. This performance is an effort to honour the voices of these artists and preserve their legacy through music. As part of this historic repertoire, Likht Ensemble will share selections of Yiddish and Jewish folk songs.
