Response to Covid-19

Updated April 5, 2023

Temple Emanu-El no longer requires the use of masks in the building.

Of course, those who prefer to wear a mask are encouraged to do so, and masks will continue to be provided. We ask that you respect each person’s individual choice. We also ask that you do not attend in-person programs or services if you are sick, have active symptoms, or have recently been directly exposed to someone who is sick.

The risks of Covid-19 have lessened but remain.

Our ventilation system is not working properly and we currently have two features to improve air quality in the building:

1. HEPA filters strategically placed,

2. Open dampers that allow fresh air to flow into the sanctuary.

Our house committee is actively working to provide the synagogue with a robust ventilation system.

Temple Emanu-El continues to comply with Provincial Health Guidelines and assumes no liability or responsibility for potential health and safety risks.

If you need help registering for our in-person programs or connecting with our programs online, please reach out to Carli Portman (during office hours M-Th 9am-5pm, Fr 9am-3:30pm): carli@templeemanuel.ca
