Havdalah on the Porch is Temple Emanu-El's amazing program where people set up their lawn chairs outside in front of the synagogue, sit back and enjoy great free music, friends, ice cream, and Havdalah led by Rabbi Debra Landsberg and Cantor Judy Adelman Gershon.

We will kick off our 2023 season with a special evening co-sponsored by Temple Emanu-El's Centre for Jewish Living and Learning in appreciation of our CJLL students and staff -- and the culmination of a fantastic year!

6:30 pm • ICE CREAM TRUCK!
Set up your lawn chair (if you have one), enjoy an ice cream from the ice cream truck, say hello to some old friends, make some new ones, and get ready!

7:00 pm • HAVDALAH AND CONCERT
Join us for a sing-along Havdalah and a concert featuring our Temple Emanu-El Choir and our brand new Temple Emanu-El Youth Choir.

Please try to bring a folding lawn chair. There is a very limited number of chairs available from the synagogue. You may need to stand or sit on the ground if you do not bring a chair. 

Outdoors, weather permitting: The program will take place outdoors in front of Temple Emanu-El, 120 Old Colony Road, Toronto. In case of inclement weather, the program will take place indoors.

It's all free.  This evening is free of charge and open to everyone. Donations to Temple Emanu-El are greatly appreciated and will help us present more great musical programming. Click HERE and choose "Music."

Security: Please be prepared to show photo ID for each adult and for security to examine bags.
