Why did you send me a Zoom link when I want to come in-person?
Even if you are coming in-person, you will also receive a personalized Zoom link. If you feel unwell on the day of the service, we ask you to stay home and join us online.

Do I need a different Zoom link for each service?
No. The personal Zoom link you receive for online services is the one Zoom link you should use to access ALL of our online services.

What services will be available online this year?
Erev Rosh Hashanah - Friday, Sept. 15 @ 5:30pm
Rosh Hashanah Day One Services - Saturday, Sept. 16 @ 10:30am
Kol Nidre - Sunday, Sept. 24 @ 8:00pm

Temple Emanu-El will re-send your personal Zoom link on Friday, September 15 and again on Sunday, September 24 so you have it handy for Rosh Hashanah and Kol Nidre/Yom Kippur services.

I haven't renewed my membership yet.
Annual commitment forms were emailed at the beginning of July from Randi Feldman. If you did not receive it, please check your spam/junk folder. If you still can't find it, please contact our bookkeeper, Ilona Meron, at ilona@templeemanuel.ca. Can I bring friends and family?
We love welcoming friends, family, and anyone you know who might be looking to check out our wonderful community. Some programs, like 2nd Day Rosh Hashanah, Sing Yeladim, and Family Services are even free to encourage community participation and outreach. Register your guests and find out more HERE.

Do I need a Machzor?
Machzorim will be available at the synagogue for in-person services. If you are joining us online, the text of the machzor will generally be shared on the screen. If you would like to borrow a hard copy of the machzor to use for online services please contact Randi Feldman: randi@templeemanuel.ca

How do I register?
Registration is encouraged to attend services in-person. Please also make sure you register for online attendance so we can make sure to send you your personal Zoom link. Registration links: MEMBERSGUESTS

What is the difference between Sing Yeladim and the Family Service?
Sing Yeladim is a sing-along program for very young children (newborn to 3 yrs) and a caregiver led by Risa Waldman. There is a cap on attendance. The Family Service is a service with music and stories, appropriate for slightly older children (2-6 yr olds and their families) led by Rabbi Debra Landsberg and Cantor Judy Adelman Gershon. There is no cap on attendance. Feel free to bring your whole family. There is a slight overlap in the age range. Choose the program that you think is the most appropriate for your family.
