A Woman is No Man by Etaf Rum
In her debut novel, Etaf Rum tells the story of three generations of Palestinian-American woman struggling to express their individual desires within the confines of their Arab culture in the wake of shocking intimate violence in their community--a story of culture and honour, secrets and betrayals, love and voilence.  
 
Cathy Tile worked in the Toronto and York Region Boards of Education. She is one of the founders of the Living Lecture Series and is co-author of the book Toronto's Cook's Marketplace. Cathy has worked tirelessly for CAMH, UJA Youth Leadership and initiated the establishment of the Jewish Information Service and Tel Aide.
