Dr. David Alter is the Chair in Cardiovascular and Metabolic Research, University Health Network - Toronto Rehab Institute and Adjunct Senior Scientist, Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences.
This lecture will discuss the myths and truths around sedentary behaviour as a risk factor for disease, disability and death. It will examine how and why sedentary behaviour has been linked with disease and what, if any, solutions exist that may reduce the health hazards associated with sedentary behaviour.
