Hineini

What is Hineini?

Temple Emanu-El has a new tradition of introducing members to each other and showcasing our diverse stories through a booklet distributed during the High Holy Days. Our first publication in 5782/2021 was called Journeys. The publication has since been permanently renamed Hineini.

Each year, a different group of Emanu-El-niks writes about their own life and/or Jewish journeys. With the pandemic and virtual services, we know not everyone got their copy during the last two years and we have lots of extras left. If you didn't get one or both, please drop us a line at the synagogue office to have them mailed to you or arrange for pick up. You can also view or download a screen version of the books here:

Our Hineini books are put together in the late spring and early summer each year. We invite any member of our Temple Emanu-El community to be part of the collection. Written contributions should be from 300-500 words, and must be completed by June 30 to be included in the coming High Holy Day publication. If you are interested, please contact Rabbi Landsberg to discuss before you start writing.
