The Center for Jewish Living & Learning is committed to fostering an inclusive environment, helping each child meaningfully participate in Jewish life. The following questions will allow us to cater our program to the needs and abilities of your child.

Emergency Contacts: Please provide two emergency contacts, should we not be able to reach a parent.

We value community and try to encourage relationships between families and students. By checking off this box, you agree to have your contact information available for distribution within the Centre to assist with play dates, carpool arrangements, party invitations, etc.

The Centre for Jewish Living & Learning has a number of students who suffer from severe nut allergies. Even trace amounts of a problem food can cause a life threatening anaphylactic reaction.

We all would appreciate your help in maintaining a safe community by keeping, all nuts and nut products out of the school. This includes peanuts, walnuts, cashews, almonds and all other tree nuts. Please read all food product labels carefully. "Accidents" happen when foods labelled "may contain" or "traces of" are brought to school. Our goal is to prevent allergic reactions and awareness is the key. We appreciate your help in making the school safe for every student.

While we strive to be a nut aware facility we cannot guarantee that your child will not come into contact with products containing nuts. While every reasonable effort will be made to provide a nut aware environment at Temple Emanu-El, Temple Emanu-El, its employees, members and students cannot be held responsible, and the ultimate responsibility lies with the parent and student to ensure their safety. It is therefore important that a child with serious allergies carries an EpiPen with him/her, and pays attention to what he/she is eating.
